Destiny Martial Arts is thrilled to be invited, once again, to participate in the 2019 Phoenix TaeKwon-Do Fire & Ice Championships. This exciting event, held at the Edmonton Garrison Field House on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th, will include both patterns and sparring competition for all belt levels as well as their always-popular Shadow Warrior Obstacle Course and Board Breaking (styrofoam) events for our Kinder Kickers.


NOTE: There is no charge for spectators but please bring portable chairs for your family; there is no seating for spectators or competitors. 

Schedule of Events

  • Friday, March 8th: 7 pm Red and Black Belt Patterns
  • Saturday, March 9th: 9 am – 6 pm Colour Belt Patterns & Sparring + Black Belt Sparring (doors open at 8 am)

Phoenix TaeKwon-Do runs the divisions from the youngest age, lowest belt, upwards through the ages and belts until the oldest age. So Shadow Warriors (our Kinder Kickers) are first followed by coloured belt competitors ages 6-8 white, yellow, green, blue etc. then ages 9-11 white, yellow, green, blue etc. Black belt adults are the last of ~125 categories to compete. Destiny Martial Arts students are responsible for their own transportation to and from this event.


All DMA students are free to choose their own accommodation for this event. Our recommendation is as follows:
